The Cateran Yomp 2026

On 6-7 June 2026, we’re voluntarily making some very questionable life choices by taking on the Cateran Yomp, a 54-mile hike in 24 hours across the wilds of rural Perthshire, Scotland.

This is not a stroll. We’ll be dragging ourselves over steep mountains, rocky tracks, endless hills and bogs that actively try to steal your boots. There will be pain. There will be blisters. There will almost certainly be moments where we wonder why we didn’t just donate the money and stay at home.

We’re doing this to raise vital funds for the Army Benevolent Fund, which provides lifelong support to soldiers, veterans and their families when they need it most.

I’m a veteran, and my teammate Reece is a serving reservist, so yes, this challenge is close to our hearts… even if it’s about to be very unkind to our legs. We’ve both benefited from the values, support and camaraderie the Army gives, and this is our way of giving something back.

If you can spare a few pounds to support a brilliant cause, and help two grown adults survive 54 miles of Scottish hills, we’d be incredibly grateful.
