Bragging rights? They come for free.
Mind you, so do blisters – that’s why we set up a Facebook page for Yompers to swap advice and info every year.

Entry requirements
You must be currently serving as a cadet and you must be at least 16 years old as of 7th June 2025.
With miles and miles of rugged Pertshire terrain to tackle, taking it on as a team is vital (as well as part of the rules). Sign up in a group of four or more for the ultimate team building challenge! Yompers must walk in teams of at least four people. No discussion, no debate – it’s how we keep you safe in the wild in the dark. But if you don’t have a team, it’s no problem – tell us when you sign up and we’ll match you with a team of other cadets just before the event.
Please note: There are limited cadet sign-ups available, so register now to avoid missing out.
