On the 6 - 7 June 2026, I am taking on the Cateran Yomp. A 54-mile hike in 24 hours across rural Perthshire.
It’s going to be tough but it will raise vital funds for the Army Benevolent Fund, providing a lifetime of support to soldiers, veterans and their immediate families.
Please give generously, and thank you for all your support.

My Updates
Catered Yomp madness
There are two reasons why I signed up to the Cataran Yomp
The first was to support my son’s girlfriend Kelli Banks who joined the army from the age of 16. She said it would mean such a lot to her if I would do this with her, so of course I said yes. I wanted to give her all the support I could.
The second reason is because a few years ago I had a spinal fusion on both sides of my spine which left me in a bad way for a long time. Things didn’t go well. although I could walk I was in a lot of pain and I was told I would never run or lifts weights again (I am a very keen runner) and I love the gym so to hear these words made me more determined to prove the surgeons and consultants wrong.
Over time with great perseverance and a lot of help from different health practitioners I became stronger and was able to carry on with the exercise I loved.
This challenge isn’t without its challenges for me, I have already visited the chiropractor 4 times in the last 6 weeks due to my tight IT Band and my Bursitis issues, but I am going to remain positive and keep going.
Thank you to everyone who has sponsored me so far, I am hoping to raise as much money as possible to help support this great cause.
