My Updates

Cateran Yomp Preparation

An early start on the 23rd of April, stepping out into thick fog with my wee Munro buddy, Haggis. One of those mornings where you can barely see what’s ahead, but you go anyway. That’s part of it.

As the climb began, the fog slowly lifted with the altitude. Bit by bit, the hills started to open up, and before long it turned into one of those days you don’t forget. Clear skies, hardly any wind, and visibility right across the landscape. Proper conditions.

This one wasn’t about chasing pace or numbers. It was about time on feet, building endurance, and getting comfortable moving through the hills for long periods. There were a few short navigation legs in there just to keep things sharp, but overall it was a chance to take it in as well. A reminder of why I’m doing this.

The work is building now. It’s the consistency that matters. Getting out, putting the miles in, and stacking days like this together. That’s what will carry me through the Cateran Yomp.

To everyone who has already sponsored me, thank you. Your support genuinely means a lot and it’s driving this effort. For anyone thinking about supporting, just know the training is well underway and I’m fully committed to the challenge ahead. Again. For the forth time. Blisters, aches, exhaustion. All of it is worth it, because the funds raised will help so many soldiers, veterans and their families through the incredible work that the ABF do for our army family.
