278 Battery RA: 54 Miles for ABF: The Soldiers’ Charity
We are 278 Battery Royal Artillery, an Army Reserve unit based in Edinburgh and Livingston. Our role is to provide artillery support to the Regular Army, delivering firepower and specialist skills whenever and wherever they’re needed - whether on operations overseas or supporting tasks here in the UK. We train hard to be ready for any challenge, and now we’re taking on one of our toughest yet.
Our mission? 54 miles in just 24 hours.
This is going to be a huge test of endurance, resilience, and teamwork. It will push us to our limits - but we’re determined to succeed because every mile we cover helps raise funds for a cause that truly matters.
We’re doing this for the Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) - the Soldiers’ Charity. For over 75 years, ABF has been the Army’s national charity, providing lifetime support to soldiers, veterans, and their families. They help with urgent financial assistance, housing, education, and care for the elderly. Last year alone, ABF supported thousands of individuals and partnered with other charities to make sure no soldier or veteran is left behind.
👉 Please donate today and help us smash our target!
Your support will make a real difference to those who have served our country. Every pound counts - whether it’s £5, £10, or £50, it all adds up to life-changing help. Together, we can make sure soldiers and their families get the support they deserve.
Please make your donation and stand with 278 Battery RA as we take on this challenge for ABF.
Thank you for your support!
