Cateran Yomp 2027
In 2027, I will once again be taking on the Cateran Yomp in support of the Army Benevolent Fund—a charity that provides lifelong assistance to serving soldiers, veterans and Army families when they need it most.
As a British Army veteran, I find this cause means a great deal to me. The Army Benevolent Fund stands behind the Army community, and taking part in the Yomp is my opportunity to give something back while pushing myself to my physical and mental limits.
In 2026, I took on the challenge of carrying a 30kg pack and made it to the Silver Finish. Completing that distance with such a heavy load was incredibly demanding, but it has left me determined to return stronger and finish what I started.
For 2027, the objective is Gold: the full 54-mile route across the hills of rural Perthshire, completed within 24 hours. It will require months of preparation, resilience and a willingness to keep moving when every part of me wants to stop.
I was extremely proud to be one of the event’s top fundraisers in 2026. This time, I want to go even further, not only by reaching the Gold Finish, but by surpassing the amount I raised last year and once again becoming one of the Cateran Yomp’s leading fundraisers.
Every donation, regardless of size, will help the Army Benevolent Fund continue its vital work supporting soldiers, veterans and their immediate families. Your encouragement and generosity will also give me something powerful to draw upon during those difficult miles.
