The Frontline Walk 2026: The Western Front

I'm taking part in the Frontline Walk: The Western Front. I'll be trekking 100km following in the footsteps of those who fought on the Somme and Passchendaele battlefields during the First World War

I'll be doing this to commemorate the sacrifices made by those who fought in WWI whilst helping to support the soldiers and veterans of today.

It will be a physically and emotionally tough challenge, but I'm doing it all for a great cause: Army Benevolent Fund, the National Charity of the British Army. They support soldiers, veterans and their families when they need it most.

Please cheer me on by making a donation towards my target.

My Updates

2016 - 2026 a lot has happened

Ten years ago, I took part in my first Frontline Walk in support of the Army Benevolent Fund. What started as a single event became four walks, honouring those who served and raising funds for veterans who still need support.

I didn’t realise it at the time, but that first step set the course for everything that followed.

In just ten years, that journey has taken me from the battlefields of Europe to the highest peaks on Earth, climbing six of the Seven Summits—and ultimately to the most remote place on the planet.

In Antarctica, I skied over 940 km solo, unsupported and unassisted to the South Pole.

  • 40 days on the ice

  • 115 kg sled at the start

  • 45,000–50,000 steps per day

  • Temperatures as low as -45°C

  • Burning over 6,500 calories daily

It was relentless, isolated, and unforgiving, but also the clearest reminder of why I started.

This year marks the 10-year anniversary of that first Frontline Walk. What began as a charity event became a mindset, a mission, and a way of life.

From the frontline… to the top of the world, and the bottom of the planet.

And through it all, one thing hasn't changed is every Pennie we make goes towards our veterans

Antarctic Rifleman, From Mountains to the Frozen South

From the Frontline to the Ends of the Earth

Ten years ago, I joined my first Frontline Walk for the Army Benevolent Fund. One walk turned into four, each step honouring those who served before us and raising vital funds for veterans in need.

That journey lit a spark. What began as miles across the battlefields of Europe has grown into a mission to push myself to the limits climbing five of the Seven Summits, and now preparing to ski solo to the South Pole.

The Frontline Walk was where it all began. A decade later, I’m still walking for veterans this time at the very top of the world and the bottom of the planet.
