On the 7 - 8 June 2025, I am taking on the Cateran Yomp. A 54-mile hike in 24 hours across rural Perthshire.
It’s going to be tough but it will raise vital funds for the Army Benevolent Fund, providing a lifetime of support to soldiers, veterans and their immediate families.
Please give generously, and thank you for all your support.

My Updates
Going again - why am I doing this.
I decided not to enter 2024's Yomp for a number of reasons, my feet were still in clip order from last year, my hips and legs have been screaming at me since over-indulging on the squats bench at Christmas and as a result, I hurt myself quite badly. Changing jobs from HQ Scotland to 32 Signal Regiment meant I was able to provide a little moral support to our team of Army Reserve (Part-time) soldiers and officers, walking alongside the teams as they battled through. The soldiers and officers not only enter the Yomp to raise funds for Army veterans, 9 hitting GOLD this year with only 1 retiral at BRONZE but they also provide the support to those Teams whilst concurrently delivering Water Stop 7. It's really important to them to ensure that all veterans and their famililies - remain supported in tough times and there have been tough times. So, it's one of those grounding experiences, such as the continued loss of colleague and friends, young and old that motivates you to do more to help, while you still have the capability to do so. This will be my 3rd YOMP, again, heading for GOLD and hopefully motivating others around me to do the same. I'd be grateful for any sponsorship you feel appropriate, spreading the word about supporting Army families and Veterans, young and old. Feel free to follow me on the journey over the next 364 days until we all meet again at Bogles Field in Blairgowrie.Thank you to my Sponsors
