THE LONG MARCH HOME: MY 54-MILE PLEDGE TO VETERANS

THE MISSION
On June 7-8, 2025, I'll push beyond my limits in the legendary Cateran Yomp—a brutal 54-mile forced march through Scotland's unforgiving Perthshire highlands. 24 hours. No sleep. No surrender.
"In the military, we never leave anyone behind. As veterans, that promise doesn't expire."
WHY I'M MARCHING
As a HM Forces Veteran, I've seen comrades face battles that didn't end when they returned home:
- The sergeant who lost his home after PTSD made civilian work impossible.
- The young private who needed specialized equipment after losing limbs in combat.
- The veteran's widow left with three children and nowhere to turn.
These are not just statistics. These are our brothers and sisters in arms.
The Army Benevolent Fund stood in the gap for them when no one else would. Now I'm standing up for the Fund.
THE CHALLENGE AHEAD
The Cateran Yomp is no ordinary charity walk:
- 54 miles of rugged Highland terrain.
- 6,562+ feet of brutal elevation.
- Navigating through the darkness of night.
- Physical exhaustion that tests the limits of endurance.
- Weather conditions that can change in an instant.
But this temporary discomfort pales against the daily struggles of wounded veterans.
YOUR DONATION'S IMPACT
When you support my march, here's exactly what you're funding:

Last year alone, the Army Benevolent Fund helped over 60,000 members of our military family through their darkest hours.
THE COUNTDOWN HAS BEGUN
The clock is ticking. In just weeks, I'll face this challenge regardless of conditions—just as our veterans face their challenges every day, rain or shine.
"The true measure of a society can be found in how it treats those who have borne the battle."
MY PERSONAL PLEDGE
For every mile I complete, I'm personally donating £3 to the cause. That's £162 of my own commitment. (The 3 represents the symbols on my corps’ Identity/cap badge, (1) The Rearing Horse, (2) Chain, (3) Lightning Flash which symbolise (1) Power, (2) Control (3) Electrical Engineering. Feel free to guess the cap badge.
Will you match my determination with your generosity?
