I'm taking part in the Frontline Walk: The Normandy Beaches. I'll be trekking 100km of the coastline stormed as part of Operation Overlord during the D-Day landings of the Second World War. This is my third challenge for the ABF, a charity I truly believe in.
My first was in 2016 my last in 2024, both were the Western Front, both challenging physically and mentally. I have met some great people who I now call friends on both of those trips.
This year is different, friends old and new attempting the challenge but also my eldest daughter Amber is joining me forming "Team Keen". An off the cuff comment of "what have you got planned for next year" brings us here.
Personally I'm doing the walk to remember my Grandfathers who both fought in this region, as well as supporting serving members and veterans that need a hand up, not a hand out.
It will be a physically and emotionally tough challenge, even more so as I'm not as physically fit as I used to be (need to get some miles under the belt before hand this year) but such a worth while charity and cause.
We've got a lot to raise between us, so please donate what you can and unashamedly share the link!!

Good luck TEAM KEEN!!!
