The Babcock Cadet Challenge:

Are you a serving cadet? Great, because The Babcock Cadet Challenge is the perfect opportunity for you to test your physical and mental limits while raising vital funds for the Army Benevolent Fund.

All you need to do is:

  1. Sign up in a team of four or more Cadets (Free entry!)
  2. Complete the Yomp in less than 24 hours.
  3. Raise as much money as you can - Your first £100 will be matched funded by Babcock!
  4. Together, as a team, cross the finish line and you'll have conquered the Babcock Cadet Challenge

What you get

All food and drink across the route. Campsite access. A goodie bag, technical t-shirt and that all-important medal. Plus training tips and fundraising support, including setting up your online fundraising page.

Bragging rights? They come for free.

Mind you, so do blisters – that’s why we set up a Facebook page for Yompers to swap advice and info every year.

As part of the Babcock Cadet Challenge, you will recieve a £50 contribution to your travel costs, courtesy of Babcock.

Entry requirements

You must be currently serving as a cadet and you must be at least 16 years old as of 8th June 2024.

With miles and miles of rugged Pertshire terrain to tackle, taking it on as a team is vital (as well as part of the rules). Sign up in a group of four or more for the ultimate team building challenge! Yompers must walk in teams of at least four people. No discussion, no debate – it’s how we keep you safe in the wild in the dark. But if you don’t have a team, it’s no problem – tell us when you sign up and we’ll match you with a team of other cadets just before the event.

Please note: There are limited cadet sign-ups available, so register now to avoid missing out.
