I want to make a difference in the lives of soldiers, veterans and their families

I am supporting the work of the Army Benevolent Fund and wanted to support them by raising money as part of my participation in 2026 TCS London Marathon. The ABF is the Army's national charity, supporting individuals and families as well as other leading charities to ensure help is there for soldiers, for life. Last year, they supported individuals aged from just 1 day old to 104 years old. You can read more of their stories here.

London marathon 2026🇬🇧

I completed London marathon 2026 and got a PB 3:46:46. The day was amazing I don’t think I stopped smiling the whole way round the crowds where out of this world and the support for Army benevolent fund was amazing. I am still looking at reaching my target and I go again in 3 weeks running Edinburgh marathon to add to my fundraising campaign.

Guess my time

I gave everyone a chance at work to guess my finis time on the day. (no inside information was given) 🤣. The winner would receive half of the total amount raised with the other half going into my fundraising pot. The lucky winner was Jim and he has been so kind and generous to donate his winnings to my fundraising thank you Jim 🥰I loved the confidence and support in some people’s times they gave me 💪🏼💪🏼

Work secret Santa

Every year in my work we do a secret Santa for Christmas. We usually decide on an amount and then all pick a name to buy a present for. This year one of my colleagues put forward the suggestion that instead of buying a present everyone gives the money they would have spent as a donation to my fundraising campaign. Something I was extremely grateful for and was an amazing act of kindness. Thank you to all my team for there donation amazing. 

Christmas function Raffle

For my work Christmas function this year I organised a fundraising raffle. Myself and colleagues donated prizes and also bought tickets for the raffle showing massive support for myself in my fundraising campaign raising an amazing £200, What an amazing team effort Thank you.

Great Scottish run

Well last race of the year Great Scottish Run and smashed my half marathon PB delighted 💪🏼👏winter break now for me then it’s go time for London marathon 2026. That’s 1 marathon and 4 half marathons completed in 2025 as part of my fundraising.

Fundraising work campaign

I have made a start on my fundraising campaign this week in work and already getting my team at work involved. Looking forward to some fun events planned already.

Run Through Edinburgh marathon2025

Antrim Coast Half Marathon 2025

Second half marathon in 1 week and third in 1 month as part of my fundraising.

Scottish half marathon 2025

PB for half marathon and course as part of my fundraising.

Edinburgh marathon 2025

On the 25th may 2025 I ran the Edinburgh marathon adding to my fundraising campaign for London 2026 achieving a sub 4 hour marathon a goal which I set myself in order to raise my fundraising goal.

London marathon 2026

I have been lucky enough to receive a place on the Army benevolent fund team for London marathon 2026. I am so excited to be running for a great cause and being able to also achieve a huge dream in the process. As an ex serving member of the British army and married to a serving soldier this is a cause close to my heart knowing that what I am trying to achieve will help other veterans, serving soldiers and their families. I also have worked with veterans who have required support upon leaving the armed forces and finding life difficult knowing what a difference  ABF can make. I also work in British army recruiting knowing future soldiers can have support they may need available to them. I am planning on doing fundraisers and would appreciate any support it means a lot. I will keep everyone updated on my training and fundraising as I go . I am looking forward to getting started. Thank you to everyone who has already donated to get me started.
