FAQs
How much does it cost to enter with the ABF?
Registering through the Army Benevolent Fund is completely free. In return for your charity place, we ask that you raise a minimum of £200. If you're taking part as part of a team of 3-10 people, the minimum fundraising target is reduced to £150 per person.
What do I get if I enter with the ABF?
When you join Team ABF, you'll receive a free charity T-shirt, a goody bag on event day, refreshments at the finish line, and plenty of fundraising support from our team to help you reach your target.
I've already secured my own place. Can I still join Team ABF?
Of course! If you've already purchased a place directly through Born Survivor, you can still choose to fundraise for the Army Benevolent Fund. Just get in touch and we'll welcome you to Team ABF, complete with a free T-shirt, goody bag and post-race refreshments.
How old do I have to be to enter?
Participants must be at least 16 years old on the day of the event.
Do I need to be super fit to take part?
Not at all. Born Survivor is designed to challenge you, but people of all fitness levels take part every year. Whether you're aiming to race around the course or simply make it to the finish line, you can tackle the challenge at your own pace.
Can I take part on my own?
Absolutely! While many participants enter as part of a team, plenty take on the challenge solo. It's a welcoming and supportive event, and you'll be surrounded by like-minded people throughout the course.
How do I enter a team?
During registration, you'll have the option to participate as an individual, create a team, or join an existing team. If you're creating a team, simply choose a team name and share it with your teammates so they can join during the registration process.
What if I can no longer take part?
If you're unable to take part, you may be able to transfer your place to another participant. Transfers must be completed at least one week before the event. Please contact us as soon as possible and we'll be happy to advise on your options.
Is parking available?
Yes, parking is available at both event locations and is charged per vehicle. Please bring cash with you on the day.
