One in four adults experience mental illness, and many more of us know and care for people who do. Talking openly about we feel can help.
That’s why at Tesco we have decided to do our bit in helping to raise awareness, and hopefully collect some donations along the way!
On the 30th May 2024, four Tesco Colleagues will start the Medicine Ball challenge which involves cuffing a 3kg Medicine Ball to their wrist for a number of days, over the following 4 weeks it will change hands with over 20 Colleagues taking part. 3kg may not sound that heavy but being tied to the medicine ball continuously is no easy task. The ball becomes a physical, visual and tangible representation of the invisible burden of mental health that so many of us can experience.
The Challenge is being carried out in collaboration with the Tesco Armed Forces Network in the lead up to Armed Forces week 24th -29th June 2024.
Any donations raised during the challenge will be split evenly between the following charities:
