I've created this page to make a difference in the lives of soldiers, veterans and their families.
Having served 25 years in the Infantry I'm inspired by the work of the Army Benevolent Fund and wanted to support them by raising money as part of my participation in 2026 TCS London Marathon. The ABF is the Army's national charity, supporting individuals and families as well as other leading charities to ensure help is there for soldiers, for life. Last year, they supported individuals aged from just 1 day old to 104 years old.

The beginning.
I haven’t done any fitness for over two years, so I will be starting again from scratch. My brother-in-law has volunteered to train with me (he will also be starting from scratch) so I know it is going to be slow to start, and I know I need to maintain focus, as the old saying goes and excuse the pun “it’s a marathon not a sprint”. My daughter has show an interest in joining us on some runs, which should give us extra motivation. I will update as much as I can so watch this space.Thank you to my Sponsors
