Born Survivor 2026

I am fundraising for The Army Benevolent Fund

I've created this page because I want to make a difference. I'm inspired by the work of the Army Benevolent Fund and wanted to support them by raising money as part of my participation in Born Survivor 2026. Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'donate' button. The more people that know about the Army Benevolent Fund, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!

My Updates

My inspiration

Donations are already coming in but I want to raise as much money as possible for a great cause.

Please donate anything you can. No matter how small or large the donation every penny will help.

I am 51 years old and will be turning 52 before the event. I am an old veteran and served my country in the British army for 15 years. I was a very fit young soldier and a PT instructor throughout my service. The army took it's toll on me slightly and my knees are worn out. I had to have several operations on them whilst serving and in the years that followed. I have also recently been diagnosed with early degenerative damage to my spine which has caused a trapped nerve.

All of this has resulted in a massive decline in my fitness and I have lost my mojo as a result. As a way of motivation to get fit, and as a way to help other veterans with far worse problems than me, I am going to be taking part in the Born Survivor event in September 2026.

I will keep updating my Facebook with my training progress during the next 9 months.

My fitness is at its lowest level and I struggle to run to the end of the street without walking. It's going to take a fair bit of effort to get my fitness back to a high enough standard to take part but with every donation my motivation increases.

Please, please, please, give all you can.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Phil
