My target 150 mi

Following on from completing the Normandy Beaches Front Line Walk I have decided to continue with my fund raising efforts by taking part in this new challenge. Any help & support you can provide in helping me reach my goal of £500 would be appreciated.

I'm inspired by the work of the Army Benevolent Fund & wanted to support them by raising money as part of my participation in My Frontline Walk. Please help me help them by giving whatever you can use the 'Donate' button.

The more people that know about the Army Benevolent Fund, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family.

Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot.

My Updates

PARKEND

Walked to Parkend today to finish off my fund raising. They have a memorial hall. See the picture attached. Also found a RM Captain in the church yard and a Paratrooper collection tin in the local pub!

Clearwell Walk

Walked with Cpl Vinnie to Clearwell and back today. Now in touching distance of both the mileage and £500 target. Really interesting walk. Soldier images in a field on the edge of the village made by a local mam and some CWG in the church yard that I was unaware of.

Berry Hill Community Walk

Just over 6 miles today with the Berry Hill Community walk that past the memorial, by the side of the River Wye, that commemorates 11  men who died while researching RADAR technology in Jun 1942. Their Halifax crashed next to the river killing all passengers.

English Bicknor Church

Friday 17 Nov walked to English Bicknor Church to view the grave of Pte D W Davies RMLI Royal Naval Division. Good walk with the dog Corporal Vinnie.
On Fri 10 Nov I walked to Monmouth Cemetery to visit the Commonwealth War Graves and the grave of William Allen VC who won the medal at the Battle of Rorke's Drift. I am well on the way towards my target of walking 150km, in November, and raising £500. Thank you all for your support.

Marcus Gartside - Forest of Dean Front Line Walk
