My Story

On 13 October 2024, Scott and I will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise money for The Army Benevolent Fund.

My lifetime aversion to long distance running means this is going to be a HUGE challenge, but training is well underway and there’s no going back now.

🌟🌳 ROYAL PARKS HALF MARATHON🌳🌟

WE DID IT!! Three months of HARD training absolutely paid off this morning, smashing my half marathon PB by six minutes, coming in at 1hr 44mins. THANK YOU to everyone who has donated, supported and generally shown an interest - it was hugely motivational, and all contributions to the charity are invaluable.

Paras’10

On 28 September we took part in the Paras’10 in Catterick, North Yorkshire. The PARAS’10 is a gruelling 10 mile endurance race based on the 10 miler from The Parachute Regiment’s P Company test week. There are 2 main races: the PARAS’10 TAB (complete the course in boots and carrying a 35lb pack), or the PARAS’10 Run (same course without bergen and boots). It was an excellent day and a very challenging, hilly course - great training with two weeks to go until the Big Half!

Hospice Run 2024

On 15th September we ran the Tunbridge Wells half marathon in aid of Hospice in the Weald - a fantastic event and a great experience to have an official half marathon under our belt. Training for the Royal Parks is well underway!
