Manchester Half Marathon 2023

I've created this page because I want to make a difference. I'm inspired by the work of ABF The Soldiers' Charity and wanted to support them by raising money as part of my participation in the Manchester Half Marathon 2023. Week 4

Week 4

Rough week with some tired legs and a strained muscle meaning an added rest day and some maybe not as accurate sessions this week but sticking to around 23miles for the week. Definitely Building some mental resilience this week definitely only makes me stronger for manchester. Definitely the toughest week with the muscle strain and pushing through some negative thoughts.
But a massive thank you to my amazing family for their support and my amazing coach and partner Morgan Thompson for the reassurance telling me to trust the process and making me work hard 🥰.
But back at it tomorrow feeling tones better gotta love the grind and keep pushing.

Week 3

Week 3

Tough week for week 3 of half marathon training slowly ramping it up with a lovely double session to start the week and a nice track session mid week definitely feel like my speed is getting there just need to work on cadence and form. Feeling a little achey to start the week with a little niggle but all part of training on tired legs. Bring on a new week of training!

Half marathon update 2

Well week two of fundraising and my training is ramping up nicely with 28.81miles in the bank last week with a busy weekend with training, football and family time.

Half marathon update 1

Half marathon update:
Tempo run early doors this morning feeling good pace has quickened and feeling stronger. Thought it was clever to run in a long sleeve haha ☀️ so turned into superwoman thanks @philybowden for the trick 😉. 
If you want to help me reach my target of £250 for the Soldiers ABF charity and help me spread the word of the amazing charity whilst I train for Manchester half marathon or even a share I would be very greatful for 😁 I'll be posting regular updates on my running progress the positive and the negative.
