I'm inspired by the work of The Army Benevolent Fund and wanted to support them by raising money as part of my participation in 2025 TCS London Marathon. The last long run before the big day

The heat took some getting used to, the legs felt like jelly at the end and my brain is currently figuring out how I do an additional 10km….but it’s the final stretch now and the tapering begins 👊

30KM!!!

To think this time last year I could not even run 3km! This was a tough run, and the blisters are blistering but proud of myself for getting it done. Less than 8 weeks to go now 🙈

Longest run to date

There were a few more hills than I would have liked, but the run felt good!

My motivation to run

One of my main drivers behind running for this amazing charity. My dad has served as a solider in the British Army for 33 years now, and whilst we’ve been fortunate to not require the charities support, I am fully aware of what support they have given many soldiers and their families over the years and the difference it has made.

Back at it….

I got back training this week…tbh I was a little apprehensive having not run for nearly 2 weeks, but a steady 5km later and it was like I’d never been away!

I even managed a 15km PB by the end of the week 🎉

Tough start to the year

Illness has limited my training at the start of the year, but I’ll be back at it next week clocking up some more miles! When does the weather get warmer 🥶

Update….

I started my official marathon training plan at the end of November…it’s all started to feel a little bit more real. Thank you to all those who have donated. Please continue to share my page to raise awareness of this great charity and all that they do! 18 weeks to go 🙈
