Fund Raising For Army Benevolent Fund
On the 7 - 8 June 2025, I am taking on the Cateran Yomp. A 54-mile hike in 24 hours across rural Perthshire.
It’s going to be tough, but it will raise vital funds for the Army Benevolent Fund, providing a lifetime of support to soldiers, veterans and their immediate families.
Please give generously and thank you for all your support.

Meet David
David is an Army veteran. He is 65 years old with a passion for vlogging, and hiking, writing. His dream is to raise as much funds as possible for the ABF. David understands the difficulties our serving personal and veterans face each day of their lives. David is a positive chap who takes each day as they come with positivity.
Meet ABF
The Army Benevolent Fund, formerly ABF The Soldiers' Charity, is the national charity of the British Army. Since 1944, it has provided a lifetime of support to soldiers, veterans and their immediate families when they are in need.
In the financial year 22/23, the charity helped 70,000 people in 45 countries worldwide, and funded 74 other charities and organisations that deliver frontline services.
The Continuous Fight
Despite the challenges, the ABF’s spirit remains unbroken. They push forward, overcoming all obstacles each day they face with a smile, courage to promote and help their SOLDIERS IN NEED and families. The ABF are determined to do everything in their power to help those soldiers to fight their own battles by raising funds and because of this, David Golden feels it is his duty as a veteran to offer his help to this genuine cause. The ABF needs help to fight and raise funds, hence the CATERAN YOMP.

Hi Dave, best wishes mate-keeping busy as always! Well done for fundraising, I take a peek at your videos, but I’m probably just as busy as you so I don’t get to watch them all. Nice you’ve found a lady happy to yomp - not many of them around! Best wishes
