Navy Running for Army – London Marathon 2027
In April 2027, I’ll be taking on the TCS London Marathon and raising £2,500 for the Army Benevolent Fund, the Army’s national charity.
As a serving Royal Navy aircraft engineer, supporting the wider Armed Forces community means a lot to me. The Army Benevolent Fund provides vital support to soldiers, veterans and their families when they need it most, and I’m proud to be doing my part under the banner:
⚓ Navy Running for Army 🏃♂️
What makes this challenge even more special to me is that running is still relatively new to my life.
I only started running on Christmas Eve 2025. Less than five months later, I took on the Portland Pig Backyard Ultra and managed to complete 32 miles. Since then, I’ve completed a 10km race in Southampton, a 5km charity race for Naomi and Jacks, and a half marathon at Goodwood Motor Circuit.
And I’m nowhere near finished.
I have another 12 events booked between now and April 2027, including a return to the Portland Pig Backyard Ultra, all building towards the biggest event of them all – 26.2 miles through London.
My aim isn't just to get myself across the finish line. I want the whole journey to make a difference.
Over the coming months I'll be taking part in races, organising fundraising events and charity streams, and probably coming up with a few ridiculous challenges along the way, all with one goal:
£2,500 for the Army Benevolent Fund.
Every donation, whether it's £2, £5, £20 or more, gets me another step closer to that target and helps the charity continue supporting the Army family.
If you can't donate, sharing this page is just as valuable. The more people who see the campaign, the better chance we have of smashing the target.
Thank you genuinely for supporting me, my marathon journey and the Army Benevolent Fund.
26.2 miles. £2,500. One mission.
