The reasons why....
I'm taking part in the Frontline Walk: The Western Front. I'll be trekking 100km following in the footsteps of those who fought on the Somme and Passchendaele battlefields during the First World War
I'll be doing this to commemorate the sacrifices made by those who fought in WWI whilst helping to support the soldiers and veterans of today.
It will be a physically tough challenge, but I'm doing it all for a great cause: Army Benevolent Fund, the National Charity of the British Army. They support soldiers, veterans and their families when they need it most.
I'm also doing this in memory of my Great Uncle, Private Ernest Crow who was one of the many killed on the first day of the 3rd Battle of Ypres in 1917.
I know times are difficult but if you could please make a donation, no matter how small, it will make a huge difference. Thank you.
