I'm inspired by the work of The Army Benevolent Fund and wanted to support them by raising money as part of my participation in 2025 TCS London Marathon. 2 weeks today!!!!

Only 2 weeks to go!

This time in 2 weeks I will have hopefully have crossed the finishing line, attended the post race ABF function at Wellington Barracks, had a shower, massage, food and drink and be lying in my hotel bed ready for some much needed sleep along with the wife who I’m sure will have absolutely smashed it too….

Todays training was a 2 hour run.. I managed a half marathon and felt pretty good completing in just under 2 hours!

I’m trying to make a final big push to raise some more sponsorship to get me closer to the target as we get nearer the day!

Please, if you can spare anything I would really really appreciate it as would the ABF.

Well….. only just over 3 weeks to go until the big day! Nerves are starting to creep in as I am nowhere near as confident as I was 2 years ago due to injury’s etc…. But…. Training has gone well and this Sunday will be the longest run yet before I begin to taper my training.

Hey all! 👋

Having run the London marathon for the first time in 2023 for the RBL and being fortunate enough to enjoy the phenomenal experience that it provides, from the amazing crowd, to the selfless staff and the achievement of crossing that finish line I am now going to be running in 2025 for the Army Benevolent Fund!

Having served in the British Army for 17 years this is my way to payback and provide some support for those that now need it.

Since running London in 2023, I have been suffering with a niggly back injury and my running had pretty much ground to a halt since July 2024 so this is acting as my motivation to get fit and out running again! 🙏🏼🙌…. I’m 4 weeks in to my training programme with 8 weeks to go and so far (touch wood) progress is promising.
