A sixth 100km for the Soldiers' Charity!

I'm once again taking part in the Frontline Walk: The Western Front. This will be the sixth time I'll be trekking 100km for the Soldiers' Charity, following in the footsteps of those who fought on the Somme and Passchendaele battlefields during the First World War.

I'll be doing this to commemorate the sacrifices made by those who fought in WWI whilst helping to support the soldiers and veterans of today.

It will be a physically and emotionally tough challenge, but I'm doing it all for a great cause: ABF The Soldiers' Charity, the National Charity of the British Army. They support soldiers, veterans and their families when they need it most.

Time for a New Routine..!

With the return to school in September I won’t have a paper round to get up for with the middle son so I’m getting myself into a new routine of walking the dogs in the morning..! Am only on Day 3 of doing it but pleased to report that it all appears to be going well. Dogs happy. Me happy. And that’s a good thing all round…!

Bingo Night

We had a fabulous evening at the Bingo Fundraiser in Downham Market Town Hall on Saturday 15th July. 
I spent weeks panicking that no one would and the money I’d spent on hiring the Town Hall would be wasted..! 
But I needn’t have feared - over 100 people turned out to get their eyes down, listen out numbers, dab away and giggle when the number 69 was called out!!!
We managed to raise an incredible £800 for the charity which, when I’ve added it, will see my target hit £1000!! 
Guess I’d better start walking now, although am going to the docs to sort my back out first!

And so it begins..!

I've done it...! I've signed up for my sixth Frontline Walk!! 100km across The Somme and Passchendaele raising as much as possible for The Soldiers' Charity who aim to support soldiers, veterans and their families for life.

It is a great event - which is why I keep coming back to it time and time again... Maybe you'd like to join me!?
