The Frontline Walk 2025 - The Home Front

Walk through british history, while supporting the soldiers of today.

 14th march 2026 | Sandhurst

THE HOME FRONT WALK

Step into history and join us for a 12-mile walk through some of Britain’s most iconic Army sites. The Home Front Walk, part of The Frontline Walk series by the Army Benevolent Fund, offers the opportunity to walk in the footsteps of those who served, trained, and sacrificed to defend our nation—past and present.

THE HISTORY

The route begins at the prestigious Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, where generations of officers have begun their Army careers. From there, we will walk through the Barossa Nature Reserve, a landscape steeped in both natural beauty and military heritage, before heading into Deepcut and past St Barbara’s Church.

The journey continues past the Army Training Centre Pirbright, a key site for modern Army recruits, before concluding at the poignant Brookwood Military Cemetery—the final resting place for thousands of Commonwealth soldiers who gave their lives in the service of their country.

THE CHALLENGE

Covering 12 miles, the Home Front Walk is both a physical and reflective challenge. We invite you to test your physical endurance while honouring the commitment and resilience of the Armed Forces community. Whether you’re walking to pay tribute, to push yourself, or to support the ABF, every step you take helps us provide lifelong support to soldiers, veterans, and their families.
