More than just a walking challenge, The Frontline Walk connects you to a community of like-minded individuals united by values of courage, discipline, respect, integrity, loyalty and commitment.Start gently with a short local challenge like My Frontline Walk or The Home Front, or build towards our overseas treks.
Organised by the Army Benevolent Fund — the Army’s national charity — The Frontline Walk raises vital funds to provide a lifetime of support to serving soldiers, former soldiers and their immediate families, honouring the sacrifices of the past while supporting the Army family of today.

My Frontline Walk
During November, walk to remember. Simply choose from one of the distances below that suits you, complete your distance and earn your medal.
- 11 miles - Honour the 11th hour of the 11th day
- 30 miles - A mile for every day in November
- 80 miles - Celebrate the 80th anniversary of VJ Day
My Frontline Walk is a personal challenge. You could take in local sites related to your family’s military history, or simply venture wherever your mood takes you.

The Home Front
Step into history and join us for a 12-mile walk through some of the British Army’s most iconic sites. The Home Front Walk offers the opportunity to walk in the footsteps of those who served, trained, and sacrificed to defend our nation—past and present.
Starting at the iconic Royal Military Academy Sandhurst we walk through Deepcut and pass ATC Pirbright, before finishing at the incredible Brookwood Military Cemetery.

The Normandy Beaches
Discover the turning point of World War II like never before on this unforgettable 60 mile walk through Normandy. On our journey, pass historical beaches of Sword, Juno, Gold, Omaha and Utah, then we'll finish up at the British Normandy Memorial to pay tribute to the fallen heroes of D-Day.

The Western Front
Immerse yourself in the history of our ancestors on a 100km walk through the frontlines of World War I. Setting off from Lochnagar Crater where the Battle of the Somme began, we’ll explore key sites from the Battles of Ypres and Arras and visit memorial grounds honouring the soldiers who fought over 100 years ago.

Italy: Monte Cassino
The Italy Frontline Walk traces the historic battles of the Second World War, following the route taken by Allied forces during the Italian campaign. The trek goes from the Salerno beaches up to Monte Cassino.
Due to popular demand, The Frontline Walk: Italy is now running across two separate events.
Date: 9 - 13th/16 - 20th September 2026

The Borneo Jungle
Trace the steps of the Prisoners of War, who endured extreme conditions on the gruelling Death March from Sandakan PoW camp to Jessleton. Taking place in the dense jungles of Borneo, you’ll follow as much of the original route as possible, including Mount Trusmadi, Borneo’s second-highest and most challenging peak. This trek is not only a test of endurance but a profound homage to resilience and remembrance.

Crete: Sea to Summit
Embark on an epic challenge across Crete, where every step follows one of the fiercest battles of WWII. Treverse dramatic landscapes that witnessed extraordinary courage, resistance and sacrifice.

The Heroes of Telemark
Recreate the challenge facing a small group of allied special forces in 1943, when they were sent to destroy a facility which was instrumental to Hitler's development of the atomic bomb.
Join us as we follow in their footsteps on the remote Hardangervidda plateau, paying homage to their bravery and success, which ultimately changed the outcome of the war.
